The 2024 GMC Terrain is a carryover model from last year. This means its engines, features, and amenities have not changed. The only new additions this year are two new paint colors: Riptide Metallic and Downpour Metallic.
Performance
Every trim of the Terrain is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter 175 horsepower four-cylinder engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional on the SLE and SLT trims. Though on the AT4 and Denali trims, all-wheel drive is standard.
As for its fuel economy, the EPA estimates the Terrain with front-wheel drive earns up to 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Though with all-wheel drive, highway rating drops to an estimated 28 mpg.
Technology
In the cabin, Bowling Green and Columbia, KY shoppers will find the Terrain uses an infotainment system with quick-to-respond to commands, clear graphics, and the latest in-car connectivity features. Wireless Apple CarPlay Android Auto is standard, as is a Wi-Fi hotspot. In-dash navigation is also standard on the top Denali and is available on other models.
Safety Features
To ensure you stay safe as you cruise down the Somerset roads, GMC has equipped the Terrain with a host of driver-assistance features, both standard and optional. Standard features include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist. Features like adaptive cruise control and surround-view monitor are optional.
